Andover, MA Working Fire - 11 Princeton Ave - 11/27/17

Andover firefighters responded just after 12:30pm on Monday November 27th 2017 to a report of smoke coming from a dwelling at 11 Princeton Ave. C1 and C2 arrived on scene first reporting smoke showing from a 1.5 story single family dwelling and requested a working fire. Due to a large amount of clutter within the home, fire crews had some difficulty initially location the seat of the fire. 2 lines were stretched into the basement and the fire was extinguished, keeping the direct fire damage to the area od origin. Heavy smoke and water damage throughout the rest of the home made it uninhabitable for at least that night. Mutual aid coverage was provided by North Andover, Lawrence and Middleton while Andover companies were tied up. A cause is currently under investigation by Andover Fire and the State Fire Marshal’s office.
