North Andover, MA W/F w Brush - 213 Summer St - 4/24/17

North Andover Fire dispatched a full box assignment to the area of 213 Summer St on the afternoon of April 24th 2017 for a reported brush fire extended to vehicles. On arrival companies had heavy smoke and fire showing from the rear of the property at the given address. Firefighters discovered a large area of brush that has extended to a small out building and to multiple cars, many classic antiques kept at the rear of the property down a steep hill. Establishing an adequate water supply proved difficult for the manpower on scene soaworkingfirwas requested bringing in additional help from Lawrence and Methuen with a special call for the Middleton tanker. Crews made quick headway on the fire having the bulk of the fire knocked down within 30-45 minutes with extensive overhaul in all areas thereafter. In all, 13 cars, an out building, various other debris and 2+ acres of brush were burned out.
