Lawrence, MA 2nd Alarm - 207 Marston St. - 11/10/14
Shortly after 7pm, a police unit in the area came across a building fire in the area of 207 Marston St, a fenced off and abandoned property. Box 2111 was sent out with an initial response of Engines 5, 6, 7, Ladder 5, Rescue 1 and Car 21 Deputy Meaney.
Upon arrival, Engine 6 reported a working fire and companies went right to work establishing a water supply to the back of the property where the 2.5 story abandoned house was located.
While the heaviest amount of fire was kept to the exterior facade of the structure, the overlapping fire did extend into the attic area. Companies went right into an aggressive interior attack to find and knock down fire. C21 briefly had all companies exit the building as welll as striking the 2nd alarm for extra manpower. The 2nd alarm brought in Engine 9 and Ladder 4 as well as Andover Engine 1 as the RIT team.
Most of the heavy fire was knocked down fairly quickly with a few lines in operation and Ladder 5s aerial master stream.
