Letchworth State Park - Castile, NY - Fall 2014
Took about 2 hours while my family was at a craft show in the northern section of the park to photograph some of the fall foliage the parks vast gorge had to offer. Letchworth is known as "The Grand Canyon of the East" due to the large gorge where the Genesee River roars through, over three major waterfalls and between cliffs. The gorge is, at points, near 600 feet high. It was VERY cloud and unfortunately, what sunlight there was, is directly due south, meaning I was shooting the gorge/waterfalls directly into it. Not TOO bad results and not nearly enough time spent before I had to leave. This park is beautiful and is a complete days worth of fun and exploration. I drove by MANY areas Id have loved to have stopped at but time was not on my side. Guess that means Ill have to go back again....YES PLEASE!!!
